Default Massive Construction on Hazel Park Race Track site

By chance I was driving south on Dequindre yesterday at Ten Mile where the Hazel Park Race Track once stood. In its place was a huge half-mile-long building being constructed.

Digging around I found that the site is being developed by an Ashley Capital that has already built large structures for Amazon and a German battery maker on the site. I could not find the purpose the current building, only that it was 910,000 square feet. Any ideas?

The number of docks visible in 3 says warehouse/distribution center.

Looks like tilt wall construction, which we don't see very often in this area.

All three of the buildings on that site are the same construction style. I THINK that the new building will be Amazon, not sure whether that means the other Amazon center closer to Couzens will be moved, or not.

Lowell, they are speculative buildings developed by Ashley Capital for light manufacturing, warehousing and distribution. It's a two-building project totally 1.8 million sq ft and termed 'Tri-County Commerce Center Redevelopment Project.' Amazon already occupies the first phase building along with Bridgewater Interiors and LG Electronics.

Actually it's 3 buildings, but who's counting? LOL

There's also a similar building across Dequindre not affiliated with these.

Here it is, the Tri-County Commerce Center:

Building III early next year. In any case, industrial, warehousing and logistics space can't be built fast enough in the metro, these days.

BTW, the building across Dequindre in Warren is called the Warren Commerce Center and being developed by some of the same developers. It's a 296,00 sq ft warehouse/distribution building built on speculation.
