I don't profess to be the sharpest knife in the cutlery drawer but what exactly is a ruin porn blog?

^^^ Blogs which showcase photos of buildings that are not in use, abandoned in various levels of decay. There are photographers, artists etc who specialize in taking exterior and interior photos of such properties.

Aesthetically, these photos are considered ruin porn by some as they only show the ruined, decrepit status of properties, engendering a negative perception of the city. Then there are those that say such blogs/ photos simply document, past and present.

Legal and health concerns began to arise re. the trespass of abandoned properties or the problem of becoming injured from unstable structures or being contaminated by asbestos etc. Though the major health concerns are more associated with the scrap metal scavengers.
