    Default Work after street replacement

I had noticed whenever a street was repacked there is alway a work crew digging up parts of that particular street to do some type of work under it. They don’t completely repave the street after they are done but patch the road leaving a dip in the street or a shallow sink hole that could become deeper during time. Is this becoming a common practice in Detroit after the street had been repaved? This could cause the street to become cracked again so that entire strip would have to be repaved again. Is that some type of racket?

This has nothing to do with the repaving. This is DWSD's standard patch and fill after watermain repairs. They use the cheapest patching materials and patch the smallest surface area they can get away with.

So by coincidence a water main breaks right after the streets had been repaved especially on the Eastside on Cadieux near Mack or Mack at Radnor
