    Default Bernard Kilpatrick's Condo Sold at Sherrif Auction

    Detroit --The luxury condominium owned by Bernard Kilpatrick was sold at a Sheriff's auction last month, continuing a summer of financial woes for the father of the former mayor.
    Kilpatrick paid $210,000 in 1999 for the condo in ....as recently as May 10, 2004, the father of former Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick took out a $201,700 mortgage from Citizens Bank, the debt he failed to pay, according to Wayne County Register of Deeds records.
    This summer, a default judgment for $5,225.53 was entered against Kilpatrick after he was sued over an unpaid bill at the Detroit Golf Club. On July 1, a state income tax lien was filed against him for $4,080, following one for $8,465 in March 2008.
    Oh those Kilpatrick's, just can't stay out of the newspaper.

    Unfortunately, as more fallout from the economy, the IV Manor occupancy has fallen so low that fees for the remaining tenants have escalated [[$1,000/mo. ) to the point where its becoming unaffordable, and guess what that means?

    Actually, fees were that high a few years ago. We looked at a couple of places and the fees were $850 and higher.
