    Default Palmer Elementry School In Detroit 1958

    I attended Palmer Elementry School In Detroit 1958..
    It was some where around Bethune st and Horton..
    Any one have any more info or pics.. just being nostalgic

    I went to White elementary, Charles St. & Bloom St. They all looked the same.

    I think you mean Beaubien and Horton. Palmer School was at 545 Horton [[a block north of E. Grand Blvd.) between Beaubien and St. Antoine. I believe it was torn down several years ago.

    White school was in a poor blue-collar neighborhood, but all the girls were dressed nice and neat.

    I went there too.. 1958.. edward meadows .. lived on bethune st .. 3 blocks from Palmer Elementry.. Do you remember the fire escape slide .. ha-ha
