Default WAPO $250,000 defamation suit reinstated

Remember the kid that was on a Christian outing and was harassed by a anti Trumper because he was wearing a MAGA hat.

Most will remember the comments that went viral and here also.

Like the one that said that they would like to smack that smirk off of his face?

He had filed a $250,000,000 defamation lawsuit against WAPO that was originally tossed but has now been reinstated after amendment by the same judge.

Some say that if he wins this one others against CNN and the other new media outlets that also jumped on to the defamation bandwagon before they had the facts will be easier.

I hope he wins and keeps on going.

Just so it's clear: only three of thirty-three complaints were reinstated.

The Nazis has that same mindset, one day they were hanging people, putting them in front of firing squads, passing judgment on others just because they could.

Then the next day it was all happening to them, life is funny like that.

It is also funny how some riot, burn cities, cry when they feel an injustice has happened to them, but yet have no problem when it happens to somebody else.

Just so it is clear,it only takes one complaint to stick and if it is a jury and even if it is loaded with fruitcake liberals they will still get to stick it to the rich owners of the newspaper, because if it was actually about justice it would only apply to their cause.

Its a win win anyway you look at it.

A video clip of a white teenager harassing a Native American elder instantly became one of the most viscerally enraging images ... as his peers hoot in awed delight at his bravado. The face is both punchable and untouchable.

'Course, that goes for anybody with a MAGAhat on their head.

Except that's not what happened. The kids were being well behaved. There was a group of Black Israelites yelling slurs at the Native American group, and the kids. Then the Native American group confronted the kids for some reason.

The media was rightly excoriated for their coverage. They posted pictures of minors calling them racists with, basically, no followup reporting or investigation.

    And another one

This month, a jury awarded Gibson's Bakery a $44 million verdict, including $33.2 million in punitive damages, against Oberlin College in Ohio. Oberlin College lost a defamation lawsuit brought by local bakery Gibson's who said they were libelously accused of racism.

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/oberlin...million-libel/

The bakery was generational owned sense the 1800s
3 students go in and are caught and arrested for shoplifting.
The next morning a boycott and protest was staged in front of the bakery with claims of racism.
The college paid for warm gloves, pizza, soft drinks for the protesters.
Somebody came in the middle of the night in order to harass the 91 yo grandfather who tripped in the dark and broke his neck.

The university spent 6 million in legal fees.

Interesting how the liberal left likes to push the no consequences for ones actions but it seems to be hitting them hard in the pocketbook when reality hits them.

What a mess. I am sure enrollment will decline!

Increasingly the consequence-free narrative is pushed.

    Then reality pushes back!

^ even more so in a world where future employers check potential applicants social media posts, what are the odds of that group of 3000 liberal arts students in that time frame of actually getting a job.

    Liberal arts degree - check
Organizing a group in order to place false claims of racism against a buisness - check

Next they will be protesting about income equality and the lack of jobs for college students.

More likely after passing on $6M of court costs to students, Oberlin will be grousing about the high costs of higher education and supporting some sort of government assistance.
