I wish you could go to Metro and shop, browse, people or plane watch, etc... today's security makes that impossible.

Just returned from DTW back home to LAS. Detroit Metro was fine, although I have a nif-naw with Frontier Air Lines and their check in desk. Not Metro's fault, of course. Terminal 3 back at LAS was a nuthouse, and do bring your hiking shoes if you come here. TSA security checks at both locations were convenient and -- in my experience -- efficient and polite. Nice being over 75 and not having to take your damn shoes off.
[[Did not stay in Detroit.....rented a car and spent a week in Traverse City. Cheaper than flying to TC, believe me.)
