    Default RIP Eddie Money

Eddie Money passed this morning at age 70 from esophageal cancer. I post this here because of his 28 yr history of opening Pine Knob/DTE summer concert series. Lot's of Detroit memories passed away this morning

Take me home tonight was his best rock song he ever made.

In 1982, he performed at CMU/Finch Fieldhouse in Mt. Pleasant. As I recall, the night before the concert, he was hanging out at one of the local bars having a few drinks and mingling. Just one of the guys.

The people on Fox2 said he would come into the station and just go sit with the news talent or writers or whoever and chat for hours. Just a hell of a nice guy with no "Rock Star" sensibilities.
