    Default Madison Theater marquee

Perhaps those of you who actually live or work downtown can respond here. In an all too quick drive by last Sunday morning I thought I spied a refreshed marquee at the Madison. New paint, new lights. Is this indeed the case? If so, kudos to those who had the good sense to revitalize this beacon that once heralded roadshow entertainment back in the day. I can still visualize the "black Lawrence" face from 1963. I hope it will now continue to be utilized by a restaurant or other occupant on that corner of Broadway and G.C.P.

Nice work. Shame the theater it was once attached to couldn't have been preserved too.
