Thread: Serman's Shop

    Default Serman's Shop

Has anyone heard any news on the old Serman's Store on Randolph? The building is in such a prime location on a pretty active block. To be honest, I am surprised Bedrock [[whom I assume still control it) have sat on it for this long. It would seem to be a perfect spot for any number of uses.

That area around Randolph and Broadway always seems to be on the edge of taking off, only to fizzle. I had hope that BBW's opening would lead to more restaurants and bars opening, since those streets are within walking distance of a lot of venues.

A Serman's development could start making the area attractive enough to get things rolling. I know Bedrock has a lot of plates in the air. I hope they have enough sense to sell it to another developer, rather than illich the property.

I love it... "Ilitch" as a verb....

Definition: "To sit on, to dawdle, to let rot, to replace with a parking lot."

It's closed about 7 years ago due to Gilbert's rental pricing.
