^ he has already been picked for you,the rest are just filler in order to make you think that the DNC gives you a choice are are the people’s party.

No way in the world are they going full progressive and they are banking on what Shelby posted, blue is voting blue no matter who or what.

The rest will just stay home again then claim, not my president, like the last time.

The progressive left is really not a part of the Democratic Party, they are just latching on because we are a two party system,so you really cannot blame the DNC for being true to who they feel represents the party interests, that’s why the push for a new system.

But this country was really not set up for allowing the radical left to hold power for a reason, our forefathers already experienced what resulted from that,so the system was set up to avoid it.

One good thing about Joe, he is providing the comedians with lots of material.

Never watched "American Idol", "Dancing With the Stars", "The Bachelor", or any survival show, and I'm not watching these debates. Nothing but garbage. The only debates that will matter will be the one-on-ones before the election. Democrats would be wise to choose a candidate that's able to hold their own under that scenario. Don't sell Biden short in that regard...he sent Paul Ryan home in his diapers in the 2012 debates.
All the progressive stuff like health care for all and gun control sounds real good on paper, but unless Democrats can take back the Senate, you might as well pee against the wind. Stability in the Presidential position and a female as V.P. is the way to go for the Democrats to get the win. I believe a Biden/Warren ticket can beat Trump/Pence. Sanders/Warren or any other female isn't going to happen. Carrying the stigma of being a socialist is not going to win this election. You'll need an economic collapse, or a decade and a few deaths to be able to pull that off.

I agree, anybody promoting family values and offering assistance to those are having a hard time dealing with it is a laughable matter.

It is a dog eat dog world, they should just suck it up,that is what gangs are for, providing those family values.

    This in a nutshell.

Warren tries to walk that fine line but her setback is she flat out says her healthcare plan is Bernie’s,that is a big mountain to climb.

A recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll shows Warren is up 6 points since July and is now in the number two position. Biden is +5 since July and is still in first. Sanders is +1 since July and is in third. Warren is the leader among white democratic voters. Biden has the majority of black voters with 49%. Warren has is winning in the enthusiasm factor, with Bernie in second

It's worth noting that in 2008 Hillary had the majority of black votes. That changed when Obama won Iowa.

Oh my--it's time. Biden's wife really should pull him out of the running. He could always cite his health as reasonable reason.

I know I shouldn’t be surprised but yet I am. Joe is almost as old as dirt, a previous 2 time loser in presidential races and carries a shit load of baggage.

Are the Democrats counting on beating a weak opponent and figure they can run anybody as long as they have a name everyone’s heard before then have no worries?

    That strategy sounds awfully familiar...

Bernie Sanders is 3 years older then Biden, which puts him at 79 in 2020.

The current president is the same age as Biden and outside of the love to rile em up seems to be still sharp witted.

To me Biden is like a sly fox,do enough for them to drop thier guard then use that to your advantage. He has been around long enough to know how to work the system based on what is actually achievable verses pipe dreams of pandering.

Besides, can we practice age discrimination in the work place?

The Dems do not view as they did anything wrong in 2016,it was the fault of the Russians and the electoral process that needs to be changed after 200 years.

So in thier mind they had a winning hand,it was everybody else’s fault.

The Party really has no choice but to support Biden, otherwise turn it over to the progressives, which puts the conservative Democrats leaning more towards the republican ticket in favor over the socialist party.

It does seem kinda strange that the conservative Democrats have been blindsided with thier choice of candidates or pool to choose from,or maybe that is the goal of the DNC,to go socialist, but in order to keep thier base they have to slowly convert them.

There is really no rhyme or reason in any of it.

I guess the positive side in it all is with the glut of illegals and sanctuary polices, domestic help is at pre Victorian rates. So now even the lower middle classes can afford a live in maid.

Looks like Biden and Son are in the middle of the latest partisan mudsling.

    Does it matter?

  16. #91

Default Really this has what american politics come to...

    Biden on Biden

    Biden on Trump

"This behavior is particularly abhorrent because it exploits the foreign policy of our country and undermines our national security for political purposes," Biden continued. "It means that he used the power and resources of the United States to pressure a sovereign nation—a partner that is still under direct assault from Russia—pushing Ukraine to subvert the rule of law in the express hope of extracting a political favor ..."

    What?

All this partisan mudslinging reminds me of the adage that, People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

There is no shortage of mud to sling from any angle.

I'm not a big Biden supporter, but if you're talking about the whistle blower story, the only wrong doing was done by Trump.

The story, for those who don't know, is Biden blackmailed Ukraine’s new leaders into firing the country’s chief prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, to derail an investigation he was leading into a Ukrainian gas company for which Biden's son Hunter was a paid advisor.

The truth of the matter is Shokin was fired because he had failed to conduct investigations of corruption, and had stifled efforts to investigate embezzlement and misconduct by public officials following the 2014 uprising. Shokin was the largest obstacle to judicial reform in Ukraine. It wasn’t just Joe Biden calling for his ouster, it was the United States government and the European Union. He wouldn't prosecute the Yanukovych regime or anybody in the current government. He constantly blocked reform to Ukraine’s broken legal system.

    The Intercept covered this extensively.

This is so much more than mudslinging. If everything being reported is true Trump tried to use the power of his office to leverage a foreign government into helping him defeat a potential political opponent in the United States.

Off the top of my head, there are at least three crimes committed here: extortion, conspiracy to engage in extortion w/Rudy Giuliani, and conspiracy to violate federal election law to obtain foreign interference also with Rudy Giuliani.

There is no such thing as truth in matters such as this. It's versions of an event. The best it can be is a subjective truth. What is it that you want to believe, what makes you the most comfortable to live with.

Conflict resolution was the topic that night.
A trbal member from the Traverse Band of Chippewa was a speaker. The tribe and the State of Michigan were at odds over fishing rights at the time. What hesaid about truth that night has stuck with me to this day.

He had us all imagine a pumpkin. Since it was the middle of October. He held up this imaginary pumpkin and said how nice this pumpkin is. Smooth, round, unblemished, perfect for carving. Now turn it around, not so great.

Truth is like that. Depends on which side of the pumpkin you see.

Your truth may not be my truth.

That Christmas Tree is rarely perfect it seems to have a side that goes against the wall. Hidden from view. That is truth too.

    Hey I recognize this approach.

If, everything being reported is true, then..............

Rachel Maddow and the other minions at MSDNC made millions doing it.

Truth is truth; there aren't "two sides" to it. I agree that everyone THINKS that their side is the truth, but in the end, hopefully, it comes out. We may not ever know the truth in many things, but it's out there. It may arrive in a concatenation of your truth and my truth, but there is still one truth.
