Ahhh yes, Altes. But does it still have that "Fassbier" taste?

Fassbier translated to English = draft beer.

So their slogan is "Tastes like draft beer draft beer."

Altes & Weidemann's [[sp) are the two cheap beers I remember. Both had a strong wheat taste to me, that never quite went away no matter how many you drank. Many bars featured a shell of either for 60 cents or so back in the 70's. Altes tall boys in a can were popular too. So was heading to the toilet.

You forgot to mention Goebel & Ballantine, all 4 of those economy beers were under $1.00 for a 6-pack [[cans). Best tasting of the 4: Goebel hands down!

Maybe it's been mentioned but I heard a rumor today that Jason Mamoa is building a brewery in an ex-GM plant in Pontiac.
