    Default Local SALSA

Garden Fresh Gourmet in the news lately.
    Campbell's bought it from from
    Jack Aronson for $231 million.
Apparently Campbells has financial difficulty with its
fresh food unit indicated by a
    $346 million write-down last quarter.
I like the salsa and buy it quite regularly.

I just read that Arnson's wants to buy it back and keep it local. It's my favorite salsa.

Should we post all the paid websites we get news from,
even when others can not access them ?

It's still news - even with out a reference everyone can access !!!
Things happen around the world, in foreign languages.

Oh snap, I need to create a website to support my post ......

About 55 % of adults report they either pay
for a newspaper, magazine, news app,
or news site, or donate money to public radio.

Cool. I want to try it. Hard to find one with the right balance of taste - and not too watery or pasty.

A company from Quebec has made an offer and it's all done but the paperwork.
"Campbell is selling Garden Fresh for an undisclosed amount to an affiliate of Fountain of Health USA, a maker of dips, prepared salads and frozen desserts. Terms of the deal were not shared. The sale is expected to close in Campbell's fiscal 2019 third quarter, which ends April 28.Fountain of Health's telephone number lists a Quebec address for the company. It shares a phone number with Fontaine Sante Foods.

For getting past Crain's Detroit 'paywall'... just Google 'Crain's Detroit + several words of the specific topic'. That will give you a Google list, and you should be able to click on the one you couldn't access before... and allow you to access the page.

Perhaps Campbell should stick with canned soup, eh ?

Who wants Quebec salsa ? I think I'll go to MexicanTown instead.

Garden Fresh Gourmet is part of the Campbell Fresh division, which also includes Bolthouse Farms. A week earlier, Campbell announced the sale of its Everett, Wash., refrigerated soup plant, which also was part of Campbell Fresh, to an affiliate of the Joshua Green Corp., a Seattle-based private investment company.

I thought you were going to list or were looking for local Salsa dance clubs.

NOPE - salsa goes on chips, and gets washed down with a cold beverage.

Oh Snap. Really? It's an article about salsa. Maybe you could have said something along the lines of "I'm not able to view it, what does it say" instead of your smart ass, nasty reply! I don't have a subscription to it either and i was able to view it. Otherwise, I wouldn't have posted it.

Obviously I did read it, in its entirety, and formulated a post.
I put out the topic Local Salsa - either some ""got it"" or some didn't.

It's a discussion site, a forum, for a wide variety of topics.
From my standpoint , it's not a place to regurgitate NEWS articles.
Many of us read well on our own with out the need to read it again.

No one posted anything about their local restaurant SALSA,
if they liked it or not, or if they just bought a jar of grocery stuff.

Perhaps readership has an issue with an Illegal Food brought to the D,
don't frequent the restaurants, due to a certain prejudice of late.

In case you didn't notice, everyone on the thread took your post to mean that you were discussing the sale of Garden Fresh because that's what YOU led with.
If you wanted to talk about "local" salsas, perhaps leading with
"hey, who has the best salsa in the area?"
I'm sure everyone on here would be glad to give you an opinion.
    Mine, personally, is HoneyBee's.
