Wayne County Executive Warren Evans says the focus of his
second term will be infrastructure improvements
and creating connectivity among the county’s parks.
He says he'll also continue a controversial push for regional transit.

I live close to Hines Drive... it is great, I ride through there about 4 times per week.

Great and quick way to get in about 20 miles of cycling.

    Nice wide lanes.

Although I steer clear of it after 3pm on a weekday. Rush hour, fools be in a hurry.

Had one fatality, tragically it was a police officer hit while jogging.

I also like Belle Isle. 4 beautiful laps are easy to do. However, last year, driver coming at me as he was going the wrong way. He didn't see us, we were clipped in and couldn't get out of the pedals quick enough. Skinned and bruised but okay.

    No love for cyclists.

Hines Drive is open and free from cars, Outer Drive to Ann Arbor Trail every Saturday morning. However, every once in awhile you get a car that ignored the closure signs and almost hits everyone.

My daughter learned to bike on the Dequindre Cut. She still thinks it is the coolest destination.
