    Default Mexican Restaurant 13 / Woodward 1960s

My Dad remembers a Mexican restaurant where the present site of McDonalds [[13 and Woodward) currently is. There was a large cement statue of a man in a sombrero where he used to wait taking the bus to Wayne. It was there as late as Fall of 1969. Does anyone remember the name of this?

The restaurant was called "Cornings" it served prime rib and all the trimmings. The figure out front was a Mexican man with a Sombrero, the architecture was Spanish adobe style. Very good food, wonderful prime rib sliced to order.
