    Default Detroit Free Press building

    Has any action towards redevelopment of the Free Press Building happened since it's last sale in 2014.....or has it sold again since then.

    Gilbert bought it about 2 yrs. ago and got tax breaks a few months ago. Renovations are underway.

    They have been working on it for some time now. It will be a mixed use structure but I don't know the timeline of when it will be wrapped up.

    The exterior has been entirely cleaned and new windows have been put in. There’s workers on the site just about everyday and has been for a year or more. Last time I walked by they were installing new ground floor windows.
