Default Who will VolksWagen gobble up NEXT ?

It would appear that acquisition possibilities
are to be entertained in the near future.

Headquartered in Wolfsburg, Germany, Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft
is the world's largest car and truck manufacturer in terms of unit sales.
VW manufactures mass-market and premium vehicles
under the Volkswagen Passenger Cars, SKODA, SEAT, Audi,
Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti and Porsche brands,
as well as commercial vehicles under the
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, MAN and Scania brands.

In addition, VW has a 100% stake in premium motorcycle manufacturer Ducati.
VW also provides the full range of banking, leasing, insurance
    and mobility services.

In 2017, VW delivered 10.7 million vehicles to its customers.
Wall Street anticipates a positive free cash flow generation
and a strengthening of the company's credit metrics with
EBITA margin of at least 7.0% and debt/EBITDA slightly below 2.0x.

Tesla, once they go bankrupt. Unless GM buys them first.

VW should buy up empty space in Detroit and start a new factory.

Not going to happen, because they'll have to take on the UAW. That's exactly why they're partnering with Ford to use their facilities/labor.

*IF* they build a 2nd factory, I'm betting it will be either in TN, SC or GA [[where they already have significant operations and there's automotive infrastructure/talent in place), assuming they don't simply boost utilization of their Chattanooga plant.

FCA is the obvious choice. VW lacks in trucks and SUV's which is basically all that's left of Chrysler. They could easily merge, eliminate the VW SUV line to push Jeep and Ram, eliminate Chrysler and make Dodge a halo brand keeping the Charger, Challenger, and perhaps using some of their Lambo/Porsche know how to bring back the Viper.

If they're smart, they'll "gobble up" a software company. Maybe they won't get busted next time they jack-up test results.

And the big 3 are jealous because they didn't think it up first.
Volkswagen will continue to clobber them with sales and revenue
