Default Question about the Fisher building/s

In New Center [[on Picquette near Beaubien) is Fisher Body Plant No. 21 and Fisher Body Plant No. 23. Both are empty.

Over on nearby Grand Boulevard [[near its intersection with Woodward) is the beautifully restored Fisher Building highrise.

Is there some link between the Picquette Fisher buldings and the one on Grand Boulevard, or do they simply share similar names?

A two second search yields: " The Fisher family financed the building with proceeds from the sale of Fisher Body to General Motors. It was designed to house office and retail space."

The Fisher brothers built auto bodies, and their company was successful. GM bought 60% of their company in 1919 with cash - just in time to add capital to build Plants 21 and 23. In 1926, GM bought the rest of their company using GM stock. Now flush with cash and secure with GM stock, the brothers decided to invest in the Fisher Building, and built it across from the GM building, where they all worked.

I feel obliged to mention that you should look up the original, 3-building scheme for the Fisher Building.
