    NOVEMBER

    There will be a few show showers starting after November 9 following more brief show showers and colder temperatures in the next few weeks.

    DECEMBER

    A brief cool temps follow by fewer show showers with accumulations about 2 to 4 inches by mid December. A there will be one Winter Weather Advisory and possible Winter Storm Watch before New Years Day. There might be a white Christmas coming soon along with a cold spell.

    JANUARY

    After a brief Winter Storm the quick thaw follow by a Winter Weather Advisory and up to two Winter Storm Watches up to 6 to 12 inches of snow by late January follow by another cold spell.

    FEBRUARY

    A long frigid cold spell follow by a polar vortex that will last 2 weeks follow by a Winter storm Warning by mid February. More snow will on the ground.

    MARCH

    A brief cold snap follow by Winter Weather advisory before the first day of Spring and temperatures will warm up by late March

    APRIL

    A brief chilly start and few show showers and temperatures will be milder to the late 50 and early 60s with late rainy showers and quiet storms.

    Same here. I'm heading South right after Christmas and will not be returning until May. I'll gladly give up the snow for the white sand beaches of Siesta Key.

    NOAA's Dec. '18 - Feb. '19 forecast is for higher than average temps in Michigan, with lower precipitation.

    NORAD hasn't publicly released their LT forecasts for a few years, but they were the most accurate by far, as their forecasts for our region took into account factors such as Hudson Bay water temperatures and projected freeze level, which both affect positioning of the jet stream and "polar vortex," to which our weather is more subject than the nino/nina systems.

    After being wrong. It was one of the warmest Decembers on record, with barely any snowfall [[there was more rain than snow.) But pretty good prediction on January!

    Yeah, the prediction for December actually happened in November.
