Parktoberfest

This German-themed festival presented by Visit Detroit will feature seasonal and staple beers and ciders. There will also be live music, food trucks, lottery ticket giveaways from Michigan Lottery, dance demonstrations and competitions such as stein hoisting and keg lifting.
Kids can join the fun at the free Root Biergartan courtesy of Faygo, where they can make their own ice cream floats from noon-5 p.m. each day.
Performances on stage will include Eric Neubauer Ensemble Die Dorfmusikanten Band, and Trent Urbytes and The Polka Riot, along with DJ Invisible and DJ Skeez.
Noon-9 p.m. Saturday and noon-7 p.m. Sunday at Campus Martius Park.

Old Car Festival


This antique car show is expected to have hundreds of vehicles from the 1890s-1932 in Greenfield Village. Wander through the village to meet the owners who have preserved these treasured machines, watch drivers engage in games of skill and more.
There will also be food; historic vignettes; live music and dancing with the River Raisin Ragtime Revue, and the Gaslight Parade of Cars, complete with a Dixieland-style parade Saturday.
Saturday and Sunday at Greenfield Village in Dearborn, 20900 Oakwood Blvd. in Dearborn. General admission tickets are $33 [[for ages 12-61), seniors $29.75 [[62+) and youth $24.75 [[5-11). Free admission for The Henry Ford members.

Art & Apples Festival


More than 250 artists from across the country are expected to participate in this fine art event, hosted by Paint Creek Center for the Arts.
There will be live stage entertainment, 25 food options, the Meijer Kids Art Zone will offer children’s art activities, and the Creation Station will feature live art-making demonstrations.
Live music performers will include Sheila Landis Jazz, Denise Davis & The Motor City Sensations and Olivia Dear.
2-7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at Rochester Municipal Park at 400 6th St. in Rochester. Free. A $5 donation is suggested at the entry.

Richmond Good Old Days


This festival offers a variety of events over four days. Highlights will include a carnival; motor sports; children’s Main Street parade; fireworks on Saturday night; Richmond antique and vintage snowmobile show; food; demolition derby; classic car parade and cruise; collector car show; antique tractor display; contests; petting zoo and more.

Snarky Puppy


The renowned 19-piece electric ensemble, boasting four Grammy awards, is set to showcase their unique blend of Southwestern musical influences, encompassing blues, hard rock, classic soul, modern gospel, funk, new tech, fusion and jazz in Ann Arbor.

4 p.m. Sunday at Hill Auditorium, 825 North University in Ann Arbor. Tickets for students start at $15. Tickets for non-students start at $30.
