    Default City of Detroit III

    Where are my steamship buffs?
I need to talk to some for the history I'm working on for BuildingsofDetroit.com. I've talked to Bill Worden already, but I'd REALLY like to talk to someone who actually went on it. My grandfather went on the Eastern States and Western States and the Greater Buffalo, but never the D-III.
If you know of anyone who ever went on this amazing, majestic vessel, please let me know. If you'd like to share anything else with me about it, I'd appreciate that, too.

You might want to try to talk to someone at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum or Detroit Historical Museum. They might be a good resource or at least be able to point you in the right direction.

Way ahead of ya on that one. Not much luck. I was hoping maybe Ray or some of the other Detroit vets on here might have been on the D-III....

Boatnerd, eh? Hadn't heard of that one. Thanks for the tip. Found a surviving crew member, though his quotes weren't ideal.
