Nice to see work progressing on the Book Bldg. I wonder if they are going to retain the exterior fire escape. That would be a scary walk down from the top, methinks.

There's no internal stairwell, correct? They'd have to keep it. Knowing Bedrock, they'll turn it into a popup shop or something lol

I have some skinny ties that came from a men's store in the building. Tags are still stitched on the back of them.

They’ve replaced nearly all of the old rusted fire escape with a new one besides at the top few floors.

The new fire escapes are not as scary as the old ones....

There is one emergency staircase inside the building... but it is right next to the outdoor fire escape exit. I do believe that fire code requires 2 emergency exits, which is why the exterior one is being rebuilt.
