    Default Firekeepers Expansion

Awesome. More buffets for the blue hairs in their coach buses parking under an led-lit ‘panty liner’ canopy beneath an ostentatious gold mirrored tower. Bravo Battle Creek...bravo

Casino money and tribe ‘health’ have been on the decline for some time. Tribes are busy kicking members out while the portion of the pie continues to dwindle. The jobs and benefits are neglible at best.

The only ones being enriched by casino monies are fat cat gubmit top hats at the cost of senior citizens, Po’ Folks, addicts and tribepersons.

    Simply...this is idiotic

Pretty sure there might be people travelling along I94 who might like to stop and sleep in a nice hotel. Don't you think people other than gamblers need a night's rest and maybe a meal?

^^^ That's kind of what I was thinking, others will use those housing options. And while it is sad to see elders and others on fixed incomes gamble away their money, you can't MAKE them stop.

No judgement per se could end my casino gambling days years back now. NOT UNTIL I ENDED IT [[casino gambling free 8+ years).

Congratulations Zacha341! REMEMBER: "a fool and his money are soon parted". You can't make them stop, but you don't have to lead a horse to water, either. There's a senior housing in my 'hood. Every month, somewhere near the beginning of the month, I see a tour bus pull in and escort the seniors somewhere. When I inquired, I was told "the casino". I think a lot of them go just to get out of the place for a bit, and have some entertainment. Not sure, though, how many would go if they were offered an alternative.

It's not in Battle Creek. The east border of the city runs roughly along Raymond road. Firekeeper's is a few miles east. It uses Battle Creek for it's mailing address but I think it's either in unincorporated land or a small township.

Also, since it's a tribal casino, there isn't much anyone but the tribe can say about what they do on the land. So you can go to the tribal council and yell at them for being stupid or something, but that probably won't go down too well.

Everyone was fine when Native Americans were selling clay pots and blankets roadside for "wampum".
