Actually its about the FACTS not your feelings. Evidence clearly shows most poor Americans DO NOT end up making more than their parents or obtain higher education.

The numbers are black and white. I've already cited the studies which you didn't bother reading.

    Sigh.

The solution to everything is not throwing the government at everything.
    No one suggested that.

You posted about kids in school should not be allowed to work or the government should dictate when they can and cannot.

You do realize there are already federal, state and local laws that already address this very thing in our country so why look for a solution to a problem that does not exist?
Because I specifically answer YOUR post which talked about creating jobs for HS students. Those are not the people who need jobs, they need an education. Jobs later.

The United States new start ups is over 45,000 no country in the world even comes close to that,Canada is 4th India smokes you guys, and they cannot even get power to half of thier country.
The number of start-ups doesn't affect the social mobility results. Nor does how you did in the football pool or what the weather is in Florida.

PS: India has slightly more than twice as many start-ups as Canada and 40x the population.

Startups per person are so far less than Canada its not worth comparing.

The lack of adjusting the minimum wage at least somewhat relative to inflation is a major barrier to social mobility in the US.

If low wages on the bottom rung of the economic ladder was the magic ingredient to easing poverty it is a fact that it would have already worked in this country. The reality is generational poverty has only become worse.

You can see that mostly in the inner cities, everything stays the same, there is no need for it.
