    Default Popular Detroit wood-carver David Philpot dies

    David Philpot, renowned master wood-carver, has died, according to a Facebook post by his wife, Marsha Philpot. He was 77 and died of natural causes.
    Marsha used to post here. Sorry for your loss.

    Sad news and condolences to MarshMusic. His work was wonderful and the two of them together were always a delightful and colorful sight to behold.

    Ohhh, so sad to hear this. What talent and force of creativity. I attended a show he had at local college in 2016... my condolences MM.
