Aside from the ad being a complete farce and laughable, it seems this family is just not going to get out of its own way. One day they are selling the train station to Ford and hailing themselves as heroes for not demolishing it, the next they start hate advertising the GH Bridge on Fox News so President Dip**** can watch it. The scary part about it is that Trump is dumb enough to fall for the patriotism rhetoric the ad plays to. This is never going to end....

With Canada boycotting American products would that not decrease the amount of trade and change the numbers that were used to show that the bridge was feasible?

NO border crossing should be in private hands. The two Governments need to deal with this fool in no uncertain terms. Pull all Customs personnel from both side which would effectively close it.

Smart move by Mouron. With Trump in office saying Canada is an enemy of sorts, this could play well.

Of course, this is awful for the United States and Canada. Mouron should not be able to own the bridge, nor should he be able to stop the building of a second bridge.

The ad was laughable and sounded like a parody ad. Of course, they had to drop the word "America" about a million times. I'm surprised we didn't see some imagery of WWII veterans saluting the flag. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised. Moroun basically searched for USA patriotism stock photos, dropped them in an ad along with some shiny renderings, added a voiceover and aired it.

Can we stop making bridge construction into a proxy war? Thanks.

The family literally said the day they announced they had sold the station, that they were going to be working on getting their bridge built. Like, they gave away the game on the day of the announcement.

The Morouns don't ever do anything out of the goodness of their hearts. I didn't think they fooled anyone with the station sale, but maybe I was wrong.

Trump knows how to be in the right spot to benefit from the huge runup in NYC real estate values [[hint: be born there and have a daddy who's already made millions), how to build lavish casinos and run them into the ground, and how to get lots of free work out of people by declaring bankruptcy when the bills come due. The only thing Trump has ever had to do with bridges is crossing one to get from Queens to Manhattan.
