    On a more serious note. I can't help but recall the healing that happened in Detroit after the 1967 riots. The Tiger's trip to -- and winning -- the 1968 World Series did more to heal than any politician's speech. Likewise, after the horrible October 1 shooting at the Mandalay Bay concert in Vegas, the Golden Knights are helping to heal the hurt from that tragedy.

    Odd parallel, but appropriate.

    Ah, hockey! The one sport I can almost watch... what an amalgam of grace and power. How do they do that on ice skates!??
