^ hard to do now that the Russian supermarket is closed.

He drew a line in the sand and stuck with it unlike others before,it was a low risk way of sending a message for future negotiations.

The brits,Israel and France that launched nothing has been said about the US launching.

He can pull the troops out but if he pulls the air support out that our allies that are staying in the game and have helped us with ISIS needs ,then we have a bigger problem.

Between the Middle East and the African continent we have 6000 troops deployed in a combat situation.

What he did,if he okayed the launch, was not illegal given the presidential powers after 9-11 and he can deploy troops foreign and on US soil for up to 60 or 90 days without congressional approval.

In response to the terrorist attacks against the United States on September 11, 2001,the Congress passed legislation, S.J.Res. 23, on September 14, 2001, authorizing thePresident to “use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided theterrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored such organizationsor persons....” The President signed this legislation into law on September 18, 2001[[P.L. 107-40, 115 Stat. 224 [[2001)). This report provides a legislative history of thisstatute, the “Authorization for Use of Military Force” [[AUMF), which, as Congressstated in its text, constitutes the legislative authorization for the use of U.S. militaryforce contemplated by the War Powers Resolution. It also is the statute which thePresident and his attorneys have subsequently cited as an authority for him to engage inelectronic surveillance against possible terrorists without obtaining authorization of thespecial Court created by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act [[FISA) of 1978, asamended. This report will only be updated if events warrant.

Interesting points as we race to war. Trump certainly has the war cadre ala Bolton, Graham, etc.

Course we had the 'wage the dog' Serbian wars of under Bill Clinton.

Why is the left establishment [[Feinstein, Pelosi et al) hegemony so silent on this? Waiting with baited breath for Trump to further trip up?

Only problem is that this'll blow up bigger than a mandate to remove Trump. Is everyone ignoring the long term consequences?

Why is the UN not doing anything re. the gassing?

Here's an update from dailymail. It's not looking good at all...

    From article:
Trump vows to sanction MORE airstrikes against Syria if Assad dares to use chemical weapons again, as Nikki Haley tells UN Security Council members they have FAILED miserably to tackle his evil regime

    • Trump hailed a 'perfectly executed strike last night' just hours after launching a series of attacks on Syria
    • Came as US ambassador to the UN vowed the Trump administration was 'locked and loaded' for more action
    • She also lashed out at Russia for allowing President Assad, its ally, for helping him 'cover up' chemical attacks
    • Strikes on three sites were in retaliation for a poison gas attack that killed up to 75 people people on April 7
    • White House talking points provided to DailyMail.com also revealed the United States' intent to impose new sanctions on Russia' and argued that Moscow 'enabled the regime's atrocities against the Syrian people'
    • British Prime Minister Theresa May described the coalition air assault as a 'limited and targeted'
    • French President Emmanuel Macron said the 'red line' set by France in May of 2017 'had been crossed'
    • Shortly after the attack, the Syrian presidency posted on Twitter: 'Honorable souls cannot be humiliated'
    • Syrian state-run TV said three civilians have been wounded on the attack on a military base in Homs

This is one President Trump policy I totally disagree with.

There are no solutions in “The Middle East”. The dangers of being drawn into a much wider conflict are manifold and certainly not worth the life of one of our military. Complete withdrawal from the whole area is the only sensible policy for America.

The problem should be left for the UN [[and the pope) and we should stand back from any collusion except demanding that any refugees go to other Muslim countries: not to America.

There are circa 200 member countries in UN. America is the ONE that ALL the others dump on. Let’s us dump on some of the others for a change. Make a start by leaving the Middle East.

The majority of Senators in both parties supported Trump's unconstitutional attack on Syria. A higher percentage of Republicans supported this action.

“No President of the United States, no matter party or political ideology, has the authority to unilaterally start a war. While the president has the authority under the War Powers Act to respond when the U.S. is under attack or in imminent danger, such circumstances did not exist with regard to Syria. Promoting regional stability, mitigating humanitarian catastrophe, and deterring the use of chemical weapons might be important foreign policy goals, but if they are to be pursued with military force, a president must first seek congressional authorization.” -Sen. Mike Lee [[Utah-R)

I know. Shocking...... Both parties have investment in making money, ergo the military industrial complex, contracts, sustained war etc. And then there's the human factor I suppose......

I agree with that, and then when the refugees come over here by the millions and start the infighting here then we can really have fun.

People will be wishing for bump stocks.

What are we going to do with the already 5 million refugees with targets on their head, clear them a space over there or over here?

2014 59.5 million displaced because of war.

    2015

One in every 122 humans is now either a refugee, internally displaced, or seeking asylum.

    http://www.unhcr.org/news/latest/201...-increase.html

How about Burma with the government troops chopping up everybody with machetes men, women or babies it does not matter,do not like a certain race, just eliminate them, easy enough.

So why did we worry and sacrifice with WW2,same thing is happening today.

The differences in the world is amazing, this country people freak out over a tweet while in another, right this very second,an entire family is getting hacked up with a machete because somebody does not like their religion.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for goodmen to donothing." - Edmund Burke

With what is happening in the world today with atrocities,if we do nothing,it becomes the norm and then it comes to our shores as the norm.

9-11 showed us we are not isolated by distance anymore, people upset about the missle attack on the gas aspect, how about a drone flying over NYC with a small tank of sarin gas, within seconds millions are effected, nobody would give it a second thought, would you rather have it there or here.

Nobody is going to nuke us,everybody freaking out about that, hackers take down the electric grid and watch what happens, you already see it when there is a power outage, with in hours the looting and burning will begin and we will self destruct from within.

This is what most in this country do not understand,we are westerners of different religions and that is all it takes.

So it is either here or there anyway we look at it it is going to effect us,is it better to deal with it on our terms or somebody else's terms,as bad as we are,we are actually amateurs in that game and it would not go over very well on our soil.
