It was the Rasmussen polling agency and his rating has gone up another percent to 51% today. Rasmussen typically rates him higher than other polling companies but Rasmussen had Trump down to 39% approval last July. Rasmussen also tracked Obama. Trump has a higher rating than Obama at this point of their presidencies. Rasmussen predicted that Hillary would win 2% more of the popular vote and was correct. Why, which other poll to you prefer? What was its prediction?

I prefer to look at aggregate polling data, rather than just cherry-picking the one poll out of a dozen that makes Trump look good, as you did.

Ah, yes, after you asked which poll I referred to and the answer kept getting worse, its time to dilute it. But even if you go to Real Clear Politic's combined polls, including those that are less recent and did much worse in 2016, Trump's rating has steadily crept up 4.5% since December.

Wrong, the Rasmussen poll I cited shows that Obama's polling numbers were 5% points below Trump's at the same point in Obama's presidency. Changing the topic to energized Democrats whose main campaign issue seems to be hating Trump and despising US workers showing up in recent elections does not make your failed point that "No President since WWII has had first year approval ratings as low as Donald Trump."

Has anybody here actually ever been polled? I have not been in the 57 years I have been around,I think that they are just doing shots of tequila in some strip club coming up with pole results.

aj, That's a most impressive number of vintage links ranging from APRIL 2017 when Trump wasn't yet president to January, 2018. The average published dates of your links, since you prefer to average polls, was November, 2017 four months ago. Didn't some of those same polling companies predict that Trump would lose? I chose, instead, to link to this week's Rasmussen poll showing Trump's approval rate as high as 51%; five points higher than that of Obama at the same point in his sorry administration and up from a Trump low of 39% last July.
