Gone way too young. Always a stand up guy.

One of his fav. phrases I loved:

"I don't care how much you know, until I know how much you care."

This news is so shocking and sad. I'm a little younger than Cliff, but I knew him going back to his high school days when he was both a great athlete [[all-state in basketball and football) and a thoughtful, curious, and considerate young man. I only had a passing acquaintance with him as an adult, but like most Detroiters I heard him on the radio and enjoyed and respected and was informed by his work. He was truly one of the good guys around here, and he has left us too soon and will be very much missed.
