On Wednesday, October 18 from 7 - 8:30 p.m., come join Paul Vachon at the Shelby Township Library as he explores the Motor City's restaurant history. Using stories and recipes that have nearly disappeared into time, he explains the city's fine dining, ethnic eateries, and everything in between.

Stories, for instance, of how the Caucus Club in 1962 was among the first to hear eighteen-year-old Barbra Streisand sing. Or how, before Stouffer's became a frozen food empire, it had two popular restaurants in Detroit. And did you know that the Machus Red Fox was the last place former Teamsters president Jimmy Hoffa was seen alive?
