Weird. I certainly didn't see you saying that Weinstein "should have his day in the court of law instead of the court of public opinion" on pages 1, 2, or 3 of this very thread when Richard, oladub, and the rest of the usual suspects were throwing a party and reveling in the downfall of Weinstein. But as soon as a few Republicans get nabbed, all of a sudden it's whoa, let's slow down and not be so quick to judge...
I think that is what anyone would want, a day in court to be heard when accused of serious misconduct. Maybe the chips would fall the same way / maybe not. But at least both sides would be heard. Anarchy is not a solution.

Maybe this is just my opinion, but I don't think either Harvey Weinstein or Roy Moore are bothered by what you or I or anyone else is saying on DetroitYes.

The "Court of Public Opinion" has always existed and always will. Are you going to tell me that you didn't already have your mind made up about OJ Simpson and Michael Jackson's guilt or innocence long before they ever stepped foot in a courtroom to face charges? Of course you did, everyone did. Even "not guilty" verdicts doesn't change the opinion of those who think they were guilty. I wouldn't expect you to describe those situations as "anarchy", just because people form opinions or because the media hypes accusations. It's always been that way. Let's not pretend like Roy Moore or Weinstein are unique or that this is anything new. And Weinstein will get his day his court, none of this changes that.

Get your "facts" straight before you try to use them to insult us.

Well it never lets me post a picture,so you can do a search string of Women attending a march with a vagina on their head.

Lots of examples out there and they sure do not look like little comfy hats to me.

Maybe try the search then get back to me on facts,be sure to add the ones where there was actually proof that he did the grabbing.

I would really hate to think a whole movement was based on what somebody may or may not has done,if that is the case we have bigger issues then ussy grabbing.

That is like saying all women are promiscuous because they may have done it,weather or not they actualy did it is irrelevant, they would be guilty because they can.

Where has the movement been the last eight years?

A president gets elected and all of the sudden, there is workforce sexual harassment, sexual harassment in the movie industry, pervs in the Olympic committee and so on and so on.

That stuff has been going on for generations and nobody said boo, where was the support for those women? Where was the movement then?

You have to admit it does look a bit suspect that it never bothered the movement before this election. It questions the real intent of the movement because it would appear that it actually has little to do with the actual victims and leans more towards showing discontent towards election results.

Who woke up that day after sleeping for at least the past 8 years ?

Which is why it's important how the media handles "accusations." Sometimes it is about the messenger and the goal instead of what is right or wrong. Both these men were done an injustice even if they are guilty of their infractions.

The Common theme,Dump Trump, resistance,*unts against capitalism,
    impeach Trump etc.

I do find some humor in the ability to attend a rally and showing support
against something that somebody may or may not have done, while holding a
sign that says .... Facts matter.

Why am I surprised that your link didn't include the hats I was talking about. These were the original hats that were being called "pussy hats"; I know people who made and wore them and why they did. Don't mansplain the Women's march to women.

Yea HT did you not know they are confused enough, your link clearly showed both examples, but we only see what we want to see when it comes to an agenda.

The context of that discussion was the question of,is a woman walking around with a bagina costume the best way to send a message?

I wonder how many young children viewed that and what their thoughts were.Look,my mommy the role model, walking around with a vagina on her head.

    Nice.

Hi jcole, My link DID include those hats. [[whatever they are) There's about a hundred photos in there, just scroll through. There's photos of what Richard was talking about and photos of those hats. I believe in equal rights.

    Nice.

I don't know, Richard, I know a few guys walking around with penis heads. Have been for a long time now...

    I know,no shortages there.

But that was the whole jist of that part of the discussion, there are nasty women and there are nasty men, always has been always will be,people seem to be shocked that is a reality.

Adam was minding his own business, trying on new fig leaves and along comes eve and uses her whiles to corrupt him,so is it in the DNA?

Not in mass in a march lately [[men wearing a penile head/scrotum, et al). Let's not give the men any ideas!

I find the whole genitalia focus of the march a bit much, especially as it persisted this year, and NO I'm not talking about the pink 'knit' hats.

And uh, no I am not man-splaining, or naggin' either----Hah!

It's gone a bit far/ revenge heavy - to a level that some women find offensive.

Some of the event photos as well as some of the tone let me know my choice of not attending was correct.

I think women should have a voice being heard without the sideshow of the die hard feminists,it distracts from the message and makes a bit of a mockery, which is sad because there are some real issues that need to be addressed.

Was anything actually resolved by standing on the stage yelling "I am a nasty woman" ?

2 weeks later half of the country forgot it even happend.

Meh,what do I know about women,I am a man and if I could figure that out I guess I would be a billionaire.

Yep. I'm a woman and agree. The poke-in-the-eye style is exceeding the message! But such is the way of it -- and not just with this movement.

Anyone who supported Weinstein pal, and Sleazbag Bill spouse Hillary needs to stop being self righteous on the harassment issue. And now this story comes out:

    https://www.cnn.com/2018/01/26/polit...ent/index.html

Hillary Clinton decided not to fire a senior adviser on her 2008 presidential campaign who had been accused of sexual harassment, against the recommendation of her campaign manager, two sources who worked on the 2008 campaign tell CNN.
Hillary sucks as a feminist role model. She's a corrupt opportunist.

I am shocked that CNN actually printed that, but between that and the woman that came forward with the claim that Hilliary raped her, people did not care until it came to locker room talk.

But all of that is really nothing compared to the continued suffering across the world due to her shenanigans.

At least Bernie comes across as honest and not corrupted,if he could just tone down the socialism cures all aspect.

Right. She ignored the fact that this movement has a pecking order [[not unlike many other groups) and she was way in the back, far back.

She might have moved up in the line had she at least divorced Bill. But she wanted it all, and well...

A woman came forward to claim that *Hillary* raped her? Is that an actual claim you're making or is this just a by-product of your typical garbled and largely incomprehensible writing style and you meant to say Bill Clinton?

You sound shocked, yes I know the difference between a man and a woman,I can look at the pictures and tell.

Do your little search on Cathy O'Brien quite the little story on satanic cults and the Clintons sexcapades.

Granted she is considered a bit of a conspiracy theorist on governmental mind control but your group seems to work along the lines of just talking about something makes it fact weather it happened or not,so,fair game.

Honestly, you really have little value to me as a person,so the sad attempt to berate me and my writing style has little effect, sorry to burst your bubble.

On the subject of writing styles, your style and quickness to call others names when you do not agree with them seems to mimic verbatim another poster, are you sure that you are not one in the same? Lots of similarities there.

#trump2020 That ought to make ya sleep better at night.

I had a personal friend who developed schizophrenia in her 20's and claimed the same thing happened to her at OCC but it was faculty that did it. I don't recall any lawsuits...

Actually, the claim of Hillary raping a woman makes me lose more sleep than a possible Trump re-election. Lots of flour, a stick of pepperoni, and no anchovies needed. I can only hope those poor kidnapped children being held against their will in the bottom of that D.C. pizzeria weren't forced to watch. A son of a preacher man is one thing, but the daughter of a sexual-abusive worm-digger ? Anything becomes possible.

Meh,as long as it does not include minors what happens behind closed doors between adults is their business,it is just the hypocrisy that gets involved.

Stand up on stage saying you are a Nasty woman after having fame and fortune while doing nothing but enabling for years.

The congressman that claimed the currant president was haveing affairs and treating woman wrong now resigns for treating women bad and having an affair.

But it does show how some are easily manipulated by the press.

Funny how the quote says posted by Richard, but yet I have never been able to post a picture on this site,so how did that happen?

Unless you are referring to me as an asshat, but then there is the whole sticks and stones aspect,so no sleep lost.
