Weinstein, and for the most part Hollywood, have soft power. Soft power is the ability to shape the preferences of others through appeal and attraction. Hollywood tends to promote Democratic cultural agenda preferences. Hollywood is also not coincidentally the epicenter of the national porn industry which also leans Democratic. Note: I fully support the 1st. Amendment rights of Democrats to promote their values.

Nice try AJ,I know you miss me,but a simple hello will suffice,you really do not have to make it up as you go along,I have several 16 mile long posts around where I outlined cases of false allegations that ruined people and their careers and the whole issue with this thread was why did the accusers wait so long and why enable somebody while it is beneficial,then have remorse.

That and the utter shock some display that things like that happened,and of course the usual talk about grabbing cats without actually doing it becomes an admission of guilt with no proof that it actually happend.

Even the second or third post mentioned casting couch,it is not like it was a well guarded secret for the last 100 years.

You gotta admit talking about sex is much better then the whole Russian collusion aspect that became a dead horse.

Lmao I am old fashioned and know there are women that read the boards,so I try not to use some words out of respect.

I am a bit surprised that the media blasted that word out there so casually,I can imagine that there were a lot of parents having to explain that one to their small children.

She says she got action when she threatened to go to the police,what stopped her from going to the police when Harvey assaulted her?

She kinda dispels the whole going to the police with sexual assault cases was counter productive because they clearly had a fear of the police.

Just another enabler coming out after the fact and allowed it to continue and effect more women down the line.

These actresses hung out together socially and they did not see fit to bring it up way back then? I am beginning to have little respect.

Little update,

Trial has started with 3 counts of rape,lots of allegations have been dismissed due to lack of evidence or statue of limitations.

The defense has asked for the return of the computers from the now bankrupt Weinstein’s company saying that there are emails stored on there that would prove that the allegations of rape were actually consenting.

The prosecutors are being chastised for going to trail ill prepared and agenda motivated verses presenting the facts.

I guess it is not over yet and there are still future trials in other states forthcoming.

NEW YORK [[AP) — Prosecutors in New York City abandoned part of their sexual assault case against Harvey Weinstein on Thursday after evidence surfaced that a lead police detective coached a witness to keep quiet when she raised doubts about the veracity of one of the allegations.Weinstein, 66, looked on as a judge agreed to dismiss the lone charge related to Lucia Evans, who helped spark the #MeToo movement a year ago when she told The New Yorker that the Hollywood mogul had forced her to perform oral sex in 2004 when she was a college student and fledgling actress.


Weinstein’s lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, unsuccessfully urged Judge James Burke to deep-six the whole case, telling him: “The integrity of these proceedings has been compromised.”
The bulk of the prosecution case remains intact, with Weinstein still facing five charges over allegations that he raped an unidentified woman in his Manhattan hotel room in 2013 and performed a forcible sex act on a different woman in 2006. A conviction on the most serious charges could put him in prison for the rest of his life.

The emails were released that showed the women maintaining a cozy relationship with Weinstein 7 monthes after the alleged assault with one asking to see him before he went out of town.

The defense request is to have the remaining 5 charges dropped based on continued tainted investigation by the PD,the PD failed to release the information to the prosecution and they would have never proceeded with charges based on the evidence that they had in thier procession,which was contrary to the allegations.
