And so the driverless era begins, the first autonomous vehicles in downtown Detroit will make their appearance as shuttles between an office building and its parking lot. From Crain's Detroit Business...

"Two self-driving shuttles will bus staff to and from the First National Building in Cadillac Square to the Bricktown Parking Garage at Beaubien and Fort streets. The route will run along Congress Street to Beaubien Street to Monroe Avenue to Farmer and Bates streets back to Congress Street.

"We have a capacity of moving around 50 people per hour, which we project will be enough for this route" May Mobility founder and CEO Edwin Olson told Crain's in an email.
