Bernie Sanders Is running for President, the smears begin.

At 4:38 I snagged this shot:
Has any other candidate demonstrated that degree of commitment?

Note his ankle chain. Yet he rose to become a Senator.

He's the old white guy consistently opposed to the unjustifiable privileges of old white guys.

How much more integrity can you find than that?

Yes, as a student he was involved in civil rights protests. Last time the Clintonites tried to smear him and downplay his record. Even John Lewis!

Do as we say,not as we do.

Sanders is currently reeling from accusations that his campaign was pervaded by a “predatory” culture of sexual harassment and sexism, according to the New York Times.

The accusations came on the heels of the Vermont senator’s excuse that he was “a little bit busy” when sexual misconduct allegations among his staff could have been addressed during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Asked by CNN’s Anderson Cooper this week whether he was unaware of the accusations, Sanders sarcastically replied: “Uh, yes. I was a little bit busy running around the country, trying to make the case.” He then appeared to smile.

One former Sanders delegate said the campaign was rocked by “entire wave of rotten sexual harassment that seemingly was never dealt with.”

The report also revealed numerous complaints that women on the campaign were paid less than men and were frequently forced into inappropriate and uncomfortable situations.

Bernie Sanders on the Today Show 1981
Sanders in 1981 defeated Gordon Paquette, Burlington’s five-term Democratic mayor, by just 10 votes. The then-39-year-old Sanders ran as an independent and, while he didn’t campaign as a socialist, he made no secret of it, either. Elected just months after Ronald Reagan was elected to the presidency, Sanders’s victory caught national attention.

The 1981 Today segment, titled “Socialism in New England,” shows journalist Jane Pauley declaring, “Face it, you don’t find too many socialists in elected office in this country.”

It then cuts to Phil Donahue, who is sitting down with the newly-elected Sanders. He says that many people were surprised at Sanders’s narrow win. “My goodness, how could this happen in good old conservative Vermont?” Donahue asked.

“Well, in Vermont, being conservative is different, perhaps, than being conservative elsewhere in the country,” Sanders said.
If only they knew then what we know today.

It's surprising to see a Fox News audience so enthusiastically applauding Bernie Sanders but that's what happens.

18 minutes: Bernie DESTROYS Fox News Town Hall with Facts & Logic

Note that the event was hosted by Fox News, not Bernie. Yet the audience seems to be applauding against the moderators. Indeed, the moderators are booed.

Apparently Fox News failed to pack this house.

Are any of the Bernie supporters on this board concerned about his age?

It is a legitimate question. Moving on from a President that appears to be not playing with a full deck to another that could be short a marble or two after a few years wouldn’t be a whole lot of improvement. Reason and problem solving skills are important in the position up for consideration.

I do so as to learn precisely the agenda expressed, nuanced and direct.

Lest their be any surprises should he get in!

    Well, less surprises anyway!!

I’m not concerned about Sander’s age [[mortality will sort that out); it’s the ages of the debris his socialist movement is sucking in, a la aoc, omar, tlaid et al that is of concern.

These anti-American nitwits/race baters have decades left to practice and hone their distaste of “western” success and redistribute it to those that don’t produce it.

I do not want my grandchildren/great grandchildren etc. to have to live in a world conceived by people like them, because “some people did something”.

No. He seems very healthy. He has an older brother who also seems healthy. He can pick a young VP [[ I like Tulsi Gabbard) that could take over if something does come up.

If Sanders becomes President in January 2021 he will be 79 and if he does two terms he will be 87 [[for a reference, mccain died at 82, but he wasn’t “rigorous” for the last few years).

I’m not a Sanders fan [[and definitely NOT a gabbard fan) but if it’s “democrat time” I’d prefer him any day to any of the others [[and especially another obama).

My first choice is TF [[Trump Forever). MAGA for those that can handle it.

I think that is going to be the deciding factor for Bernie, who his choice of running mate is.

But then again the socialist party has been here sense the 1920s and have been unable to get a solid foothold, if they did we would be at war anyways so it would not matter.

Interesting that when Stalin turned Russia into a socialist country his method was to kill or jail anybody caught privately owning or growing anything.

You could not even have a chicken in your backyard to have fresh eggs, the chicken and eggs were considered state property just as you were.

Our country was founded on give me liberty or give me death and in order to create the socialist wonderland that some long for,you have to first remove the liberty and free thought in order to have total control of 325 million people.

Which is kinda why they hate guns so bad, they kinda put a damper on things.

I do not see it happening in 2020 or anytime soon.

Let's say Bernie does get elected. Do voters think all his ideas are going to get implemented in two years, four years, eight years? You realize there are checks and balances in place that have to be over come? Look @ the struggle Obama had, and what ended up as the ACA. Where's the wall? Have they ironed out a SS salvation plan yet? He has some good ideas, but freeing control from the powers that be is a whole other story.

Hopefully the congressional make up will continue to improve and give him more people to work with. I also think Bernie is willing to push more for his ideas than Obama did.

Obama killed the "public option" after saying he supported it:

Obama killed it when he forced people to comply and fined those who could not afford to.

Pam is saying,if the deck is stacked enough,as in both house and senate as a majority far left socialist then it could be a threat if Bernie won.

Outside of that it would be buisness as usual, tell people what they want to hear then once elected,do nothing and blame it on the rich, racist, old people, deplorables or whatever catch phrase seems convenient at the time.

I think Bernie will be back under the bus before it gets to that point though.

^^^ Hah!! As much as the Sander's ideology type tends to engender many young voters, those same voters [[and others) are not fully feeling the aged crowd over all.

But as there are no younger front runners... well... It's a great time full of grand options! NOT!!
