Default New Development near Eastern Market

    https://detroit.curbed.com/2017/9/15...et-development

The Platform, which owns the Fisher Building and is constructing Third and Grand and Baltimore Station, is adding another development to its portfolio. They are planning to build multi family residential units along the Dequindre Cut side and retail along Gratiot.

This development is on a prime piece of land and a project like this will do much to introduce development on Gratiot past Dequindre Cut. And also to open the door to McDougall Hunt development in the future.

    Thoughts?

Its nice they are targeting a parcel that will extend the reach of downtown development outward, though that's also where 75 comes onto Gratiot, which is less than ideal. It'd be nice if that could be reworked to make it more pedestrian friendly.

I think removing the M-3 connector should have a higher priority than I-375 removal. Or at least a freeway-topping park, a la 696.
