Who is the person who knows where to find stuff about the city?

Looking for someone who knows where old photos [[50's to late 70's) of storefronts around Grand River and Greenfield area of Detroit are.
Photos taken for insurance, real estate, Detroit Edison, tax purposes etc. may be stored someplace. Just trying to find out where.

1. Detroit Public Library special collections
2. Wayne State University Walter P. Reuther Library
3. Detroit Historical Society

They are all across the street from each other.
