Default King Solomon Grand Lodge - 9840 Dexter Ave

Hey, does anyone know who owns the King Solomon Grand Lodge at 9840 Dexter, which is right at the corner with Boston? Given how much has been cleared out in the neighborhood, it really sticks out and I'm wondering how it's survived demolition? I have family who grew up in the area, and it featured prominently looming over the neighborhood in more than one shot I've seen.

Here's what Loveland has to say as far as public info available goes. The interface is just a little bit more user friendly than the other link:

    https://makeloveland.com/us/mi/wayne...=neighborhoods

Owner is registered off of Livernois in Detroit as Infinite Family Network. Seems IFN was a corporation registered in Nevada with board members in Detroit and Las Vegas, all of whom appear to be family members.

It would seem that the company is no longer active, which would explain why Loveland says that the tax status on the property is "SUBJECT TO FORECLOSURE."

The building was completed in 1927, and the lower floors space that became the Masonic lodge was originally a bowling and billiards place called Dexter Recreation [[from 1927 to at least 1967), combined with the Dexter-Boston supermarket.

Here is a page from the Dec. 24, 1948 Detroit Jewish News that contains a Hanukah greetings ad from the Recreation Center/Supermarket, along with greetings ads from some familiar old Detroit names like Boesky's and Kosin's, as well as a heart-breaking story about a Detroit kid, Daniel Ginsburg, who was killed at Iwo Jima.

Here's a pic of the ad as the above link doesn't seem to be working any longer.
