    Default Keeping beaches open

Time for our region to get serious about seperating the sewage pipes from the stormwater pipes.

Port Huron area was forced to do so by court order. Its time for the most affluent county to stop skirting the issue. Oakland County has combined sewer systems fouling the Clinton River and Lake StClair

Beach sand particles have a "rough and creviced" surface, perfect for E. coli bacteria colonies to attach and cling towards.

Been the same for over 50-years.....until somebody permanently "caps" the open sewer pipes to the Clinton R so it's impossible, it will continue......

I guess, we as a region don't have enough money to tackle these issues.

In 2009, the $1.5 billion Upper Rouge CSO Tunnel project was postponed

    According to below article:

"The project is designed to reduce the frequency
of 17 CSOs on the Northwest Interceptor [[NWI)
and tributary sewers to the Middle Branch of
the Rouge River from approximately 50 events a
year to less than one a year."

Yet we have 350 mil to fund a coliseum, and another 35 mil to move another team into it. Got to have your priorities, I suppose.

How about keeping OUR drinking water free from sewage, green goo, and chemicals from industry - as a priority.

Too many imbiciles think we have an infinite, never ending supply of Fresh Water in Michigan - thats simply not true.

Look up P3, in relation to funding large infrastructure projects. It can and does work as a solution

Why can't we get a handle on this, crush it, and move forward ? Lack of will, apathy, ignorance, etc., etc ?
