The whole thing has taken the persona of some kind of sporting event and media circus. You have to ask yourself "how is this effecting me?" Are plans being made to address social security, securing the borders, rising healthcare costs, dwindling incomes, middle class jobs, the systematic elimination of the middle class by importing and hiring low wage illegal aliens, healthcare for US citizens? No. People are being programmed since birth to watch the media and sporting events and apply that mentality to their lives. "he ran around her and scored 25 POINTS!!!" What's changed since Trump's been elected? Not much. Now they're going to ramrod Biden in, and the Repubs will spend the next eight years trying to impeach him for his role in the Ukraine. Same as it ever was.

Peter Buttigieg came out as supporter of the endless war. He ignored the deaths and refugees but tried to be compassionate because he would "feel" like he lost his imaginary honor in the eyes of Syrian janitors for the U.S. somehow 'keeping its word' although the U.S. was never invited to stay indefinitely, or at all, in Syria.

Kamala was trying to get even with Tulsi Gabbard for wrecking her campaign and stay relevant and noticed in the Democratic Party by attacking Gabbard accusing Gabbard of wanting to talk to newly elected President Trump. Having just bucked neocons and the Democratic Party establishment by having an audience with Assad, maybe some good would have come out of Gabbard talking with Trump about getting out of Syria. Kamala even imagines that she is the candidate to bring this Country together.

With two candidates coming out in favor of the endless war and none siding Gabbard on this point suggests that the Democratic Party has taken sides with Republican neocons. Were is Bernie? He talks a lot more about spending money these days than about bringing troops home and ending these stupid wars that leave our treasury too empty to pay for all his new socialist stuff.

Trump’s list: 289 accomplishments in just 20 months, ‘relentless’ promise-keeping

The bigger question would be,what have the Dems accomplished?

So far the dem side of the chess board has too many running on HATING Trump this election cycle! Perhaps that will be enough. Sigh... it's going to be interesting. As former pres. Obama stated the edgy stuff is not going to advance the outcome desired. Nope.

I think the larger goal is the wear him down, so that he steps down.

^ the first day of the “impeachment “ hearings they had a big sign hanging behind the dems that read “ without impeachment it will be trump 2020”

That was the Dems useing thier own scare tactics against themselves.

So they already know that unless he is removed he will serve another four years as thier president.

They are scared and desperate and it shows.

    Bernie on foreign policy:

Tulsi supported him last time because they aren't far apart on those issues.

Democratic presidential candidate Steve Bullock dropped out of the race. It's too bad. Gov. Bullock won the Montana vote by 4% in 2016 when Trump won Montana by 20%. He was a rare Democratic moderate who was able to attract support from Republican voters. Whether from lack of campaign money or the radicalization of the national Democratic Party, he failed to attract support. Opinion: The only Democratic presidential candidate who still has any appeal to Republicans is Tulsi Gabbard who is under attack from her own Party's establishment much like Bernie, Kucinich, and Nader were. One commonality that group shared was opposition to interventionist foreign policy.

Its hard to believe this country now has a President of such selfish character that money raised for Veterans would go into his pockets. Remember the Fox News veteran fundraiser fraud? Now their foundation had to be shut down.
    http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019/...undraiser.html

It is no wonder he then tried using U.S. Government dollars to bribe a foreign country into helping him win re-election.

There are no words for his lowlife.

The Democrats don't need a moderate candidate to appeal to Republican voters. Moderate Republican voters aren't going to vote for this morally empty, insulting, erratic President. The Trumps are so corrupt, even their University swindled students out of money so I judge ordered them to pay $25 Million back. That is our President.

The moderate dems, indies and others in the middle need a moderate candidate TO WIN, regardless to what the repubs need.

Otherwise Trump is going back in, easily.

You're kidding, right? Moderates are not important in this election. The base is what's important. The quickest way to lose is to run a bumbling, vacant Joe Biden. Run someone with energy and force - Buttigeg and Warren would both beat Trump.

Buttigieg isn't going to beat Trump. America is still too prejudiced against gays. Besides, when was the last time a mayor became President?

Warren could beat Trump. She is more like a Waspy Woodrow Wilson II than an Indian or socialist and would be as likely to cut deals and otherwise smoke the pipe with bankers. She already has a plan to tax rich peoples' wealth much like Wilson who introduced the income tax to tax only the top 6% of income earners. Back in Wilson's day, a lot of Democrats must have wanted to soak the rich with the new income tax. It's schadenfreude revisited. This time, only 2% will be taxed and with no repercussions. At least a constitutional amendment was passed to allow Wilson's income tax. I haven't heard Warren say anything about an amendment for her wealth tax.

You mentioned that the Trump school had to repay $25M. I like numbers. How about this? Obama nationalized student loans in 2010 to cut student expenses. In 2010, student loan debt was $.73T. [[$.8379 adjusted for inflation) Student debt in 2019 is $1.41T. After inflation, students are almost $600B dollars further in debt. That's about 240x more than the $25M Trump's school had to pay. I'm not accusing Obama of anything. it's just that his nationalization didn't work and he cost the kids a lot more money.

Note: Amazon still has Sen. Warren's traditional family recipes available.

Elizabeth Warren is offering to fly a lucky winner and guest to have a beer with her. I didn't sign up for fear of winning.

I did not SAY there exists a strong moderate candidate, there is not one IMO. There is not even have a strong populace candidate!

I suppose I should have said the mods need a strong moderate candidate to choose. Hah!

Also I don't think the base is extreme as made out to be or large as perceived!

But the middle will be dragged along, or choose the lesser of the two evils when pressed.

Where is the energy and force?

As it stands now the potential voting based is spread so thin with little clicks nobody would be able to win.

If Warren or Buttigeg would beat Trump the energy would be in thier numbers but it is not.

How many Bernie supporters would support Warren?

Buttigeg knows he is not going to win the presidency,he is doing this for name recognition in future elections.

If the moderates are written off like they were in the last election they will do what they did again, vote for Trump, the question becomes is the country ready for the radical left to be in charge.

When given the choice of Trump or the radical left, the country has already shown which they prefer.

I think some are basing decisions on the current vocal aspect and once again overlooking the silent majority, that includes Republicans and Democrats and they have already shown that they do not like unfettered and untested radical change.

Because they know that they are the ones that end up paying the price when they get caught up in social experiments.

    Look at Bloomberg.

His response when it comes to the fallout of Stop and Frisk.

In hindsight maybe it was not the best policy to implement, and we should have put more thought into it.

little consolation to the thousands that got caught up in it,people do not forget.

Yep. You don't have to carry water for, or be in love with Donald Trump to see this outcome [[I never voted for him).

Does this outcome mean that they [[the rest of the country - apparently more than ten or so folks) are all racists and deplorables----?)

Eventually I do think the radical far left will have their way. Just not yet.

I disagree. The moderates who follow the news will not vote for the Don and the self-centered chaos he creates. They will choose someone with morals, standards, and competency.

'Soak the rich' haaa. You must not be looking around, because all I see are people dripping wet. Never before has an economy on paper looked so good, and yet no regular people are enjoying it. Think about it. People should be ecstatic with this economy. Their not, because economic growth doesn't specify who gets the cut.

Only people like Trump, who inherited their fortune are getting the fruits of this economy. Elizabeth Warren is self-made, she knows what success and hard work is. She knows when the economy needs to help regular workers, not just those poor multi-millionaires.

So Trump runs two corrupt organizations, his University and Foundation, literally scamming students and veterans. Do you not see this as serious evidence of a character flaw?

Trump pleaded guilty to fraud THIS YEAR for misuse of his "charity's" funds. Trumpies are blind to the mountains of evidence for how corrupt, criminal, and incompetent their messiah is.

I absolutely see the disparities caused by corporations and the wealthy people owning them being able to profitably field out labor to cheaper foreign labor at home and abroad. Why negotiate with UAW workers when one can have S. Koreans do the same work at one third the price [[Obama trade agreement)? Why hire unionized American meat packers or roofers when Somalis and Central Americans can replace them without benefits? Yes, the standard of living of the average American has been in decline since 1978. In fact, during the Obama administration, the 3%'s share of national wealth increased at a faster rate than it did under Bush. Chamber of Commerce Republicans are guilty as Democrats.

I think Trump has a lot of character flaws but their net effect does not cause as much damage as Bush and Obama did or Hillary might have. Freaking Hillary was talking about shooting Russian planes out of the sky. over Syria. You apparently missed my point that the probably unintentional damage caused by Obama's meddling with student loans cost students hundreds of time more than Trump's university. We look at things differently. I am more concerned with who hurt students worse. Your concern seems to be whether Trumps's character meets your standards.

Under Bush and Obama we waged some unconstitutional undeclared wars that left hundreds of thousands of dead Arabs and millions of refugees. Trump has only been in three years but he hasn't overthrown or tried to overthrow any new Libyas, Syrias, or Iraqs. To me, that makes Trump's character better than Bush or Obama's. We must ave spent or spend more than $25m/day in each of those places yet you remain stuck on the $25m on time Trump university fiasco.

Elizabeth Warren character is hardly all about hard work. She played the identity policy game for years to promote her Waspy self in university circles. Her estimated net worth from teaching and being a government servant is between $8.75m [[CNN) and $12M [[Forbes) - not enough to qualify herself for her proposed wealth tax.
