    Default Research Question

Where do you go to find copies of building permits for old buildings? Here in Washington, DC, they can be printed from microfilm in the local history room of the city library, as well as obtained from the city agency that issues current permits. But how do you do this for pre-1930 buildings in Detroit?

Maybe contact the Burton Historical Collection at the Detroit Public Library. They have a just about everything in there.
