The Solar Eclipse - August 21st, 2017

Outstanding time in Nebraska ! Ended up in a cornfield South of I-80 with some people from Oklahoma State, who had a solar telescope. Worth the effort, even tho I had to take back roads thru Nebraska to get to Colorado. The traffic out of Omaha was bumper to bumper for 80 miles ! The darkness cutting across the cornfields was stupendess, and seeing the corona thru the telescope was too. On to RMNP and a local dispensary for some r & r.

Here's the original. When I zoomed in later in the day, I noticed it. Can't figure out how that happened.

I was scratching my head over that until I watched Cody's video. At 6:33 he explains that it's a lens flare.

That doesn't mean it's not a photo of the eclipse though. It's just not located where you'd expect it to be.

guess that's why a few of the other photos showed up directly on my neighbors house.
