    When Terri posted the date last Sunday evening, she also noted that the posting might be temporary since it did not have a lot of details. I think she removed it a couple days later. So nothing to link to at this point. I'll keep checking and if there is an update, I will post it here.

    John's Memorial Service is July 27th at 6pm on Belle Isle.

    I assume it will be held near Hippie Beach, but that is just an assumption.

    Join us for an evening of music and song, stories and celebration, as we honor our dear friend, John.

    Some of his favorite Detroit musicians will perform [[TBA).
    If you are interested in performing, please reach out.

    There will be time for others to share personal stories, a song or a poem.

    Gathering begins at 6 at shelter 8E and 8W
    Music begins at 6:45
    Sharing hour 8:45-9:45

    BYOB, and please bring your own picnic meal
    There will be grills fitted with charcoal and cooking tongs
    Picnic table seating
    Please bring a camp chair for perfromace seating

    Park pass required [[$11 dollar day passes available on site)

    The shelter is closest to the real beach, not the Hippie Beach.

    Today is Gannon's birthday. He would have been 54 years old.

    Go take a lap around Belle Isle, he would have liked that you remembered him.

    Gannon was a regular on our Garwood Mansion thread throughout the past decade or so.........we will miss him dearly. Sad, sad news.......

    Gannon died two years ago yesterday.

    Two years.

    Friend to most. Antagonist to a few.

    Missed by all.

    I miss him. We hung out a few times together. I remember one wild ride to Grosse Pointe with him, Plymouthres and Christine! Fun times and great memories!!
