Default 3 Killed with AR-15 in Oklahoma Mass Shooting.

Gunfire rang out Monday afternoon in a home in Broken Arrow, an Oklahoma city 15 miles southeast of Tulsa. Three intruders were killed after the son of the homeowner fired a semiautomatic rifle in what local law enforcement officers later described as an act of self-defense, though their investigation remains open.
The intruders — a 16-year-old, a 17-year-old and a man thought to be 18 or 19 — had smashed open the back door of the house, the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement posted to Facebook. Their plan was burglary, authorities said.
They wore gloves, masks and all-black clothes, Wagoner County Deputy Nick Mahoney told Tulsa World. Two of the teenagers were armed, one with a knife and the other with brass knuckles.
The trio reportedly exchanged words with the 23-year-old son of the homeowner, whose name has also not been released. He fired on them with an AR-15, a popular semiautomatic rifle, officials told Fox 23.

How the hell is this a "mass" shooting? Nobody went into a shopping mall or nightclub and killed dozens. It was a simple case of a homeowner defending their turf. Poor headline choice.

    Makes the story more sensational.

At least they did not call the AR15 an assault weapon.

And if these 3 punks had killed the young man in the course of this home invasion, this story would have never made it past the local paper.

Caught Inside Edition yesterday and they did use the assault weapon words. Also did an interview with the girl who was supposed to drive the getaway car. A real piece of work. Lots of rehearsed tears. Only really sorry she got caught. Also saw an article that one of the punks grandfather said it was unfair that the guy had a AR15 and his grandkid only had a knife.

Not something I've ever been accused of, but apparently I am in this thread.

Last nights news had an interview with the father of one of the guys killed. He blamed the girl for the whole thing. Said his son made one bad decision and it cost him his life. And the news played up the use of an "assault weapon".

Why can't our President say the words "Radical Christian Terrorism"? When will this Christian on Christian violence end?

What radical Christian terrorism? 14 abortion clinic killings since and including the 1990's? It certainly wouldn't hurt if Trump mentioned such things but up against 3,000 killed on 9/11 by Islamic terrorists. Maybe Trump should spell out the disparity between Christian, Muslim, and other religions' and philosophies' ideologically driven murders in the US given that Muslims are 1% of our population. Demographic per-capita killings is a reasonable factor to consider when Congress establishes naturalization quotas.

Let's not neglect the Radical Capitalist Terrorists:

Dortmund attack: man arrested on suspicion of share-dealing plot
Police believe 28-year-old German-Russian national attacked bus in hope of profiting from consequent fall in club’s stock

After the explosives attack on the Borussia Dortmund football team, police followed leads pointing to radical Islam, far-right hooligans and leftwing activists.

In the end, their investigations led them to an entirely new category of extremism: terror fuelled by financial greed.

On Friday, German police arrested a 28-year-old German-Russian national on suspicion of having carried out the explosives attack on Dortmund’s team bus in order to collapse the club’s share price so he could profit from stock market speculation.

Sergej W is also accused of having left behind several copies of a faked letter that tried to frame the attack as an act of Islamist terror....

On the day of the attack, 11 April, he had bought a put option – an option to sell assets at an agreed price on or before a particular date – on Borussia Dortmund’s shares, giving him the right to sell the shares for a specified price at a predetermined date.

Had the explosives killed a member of the team and the club’s share price dropped, the value of his put option would have increased significantly.

According to German media reports, Sergej W bought 15,000 put warrants for €78,000[[£65,300) and could have gained up to €3.9m as a result of a large drop in Dortmund’s shares....

The team bus was heading to their stadium for a Champions League match against Monaco last Tuesday when three explosions occurred....

With 15,000+ murders per year in the USA and at least 85% of America either claiming to be Christians or being brought up Christian, there are a whole lot of Christian on Christian killings. The Charleston Church massacre was just the ugly encapsulating anecdote to this.

So who should one be afraid of most in the USA, being murdered by a Moslem or a Christian? The math says the latter by a huge margin but we're told to work about "Radical Islamic Terrorism"?

Now a lot of Christians would rightfully argue that Christians who murder are the exception and not true Christians, yet many of the same people have difficulty making the same conclusions for Moslems.

The way the New York Times went about dealing with this was to determine how many killings were ideological killings based on religion with two categories: Muslim and non-Muslim. That left out the majority of murders stemming from family fights, drinking, gangs, money, etc.. When the NY Times did this about a year ago after the husband-wife San Bernardino mass murders, the answer was that Non-muslims had committed 48 murders for ideological reasons since 9/11 and Muslims had committed 45 murders in the US for ideological reasons since 9/11. Adding 9/11, and why not, changes the equation to 48 vs. 3,045 over that time period. Muslims constitute 1% of the US population. You can check my math but that means that on a per capita basis, Muslims in the US were over 6,000 times more likely to have committed ideologically based murder in the US in the time period commencing on 9/11 through the NY Times article being published.

Caveats: Most Muslims are still nice or ok people. Also, your point is well taken that if all murders is the set, nominal Christians kill a lot more people than Muslims, Buddhists, and everyone else put together. However, my guess is that unlike most murderers, Mohammed Atta would have used WMD's had he been able to access them. So will the next well financed Mohammed Atta. Politicians like W. Bush and Obama who lied and violated the Constitution to destroy Iraq, Syria, and Libya are responsible for hundreds of thousands of Arab deaths [[if you are counting murders) and created millions of Arab refugees. Reasonable ways to address all of this are to support refugee camps, stop intervening, and help pay for the rebuilding of the mess the US helped create. With Trump's rocket attack on Syria, he is off on the wrong foot too.
