Default Looking for Detroit Bar, 1960s

My great uncle Lawrence frequented a bar, trying to recall the name. All I can remember is that it was near the Grand River and Mendota area. Around 1969 he was robbed and beaten after leaving one evening, and shortly after moved out of the city.

    Any help appreciated

Grand River addresses at Mendota are about 12400. Here are some bars in that general area as of circa 1962. Any of these ring a bell?

11927 Grand River - Club Grand Bar
12070 Grand River - Andrews Bar & Seafood
12320 Grand River - Burns Bar & Chop House
12321 Grand River - Jim's Lunch Box [[unlikely what you're looking for)
12457 Grand River - Johnnie's Party Store [[lol)
12502 Grand River - Charlie Harrison MANOR Bar
