I went but never went in. WAY too crowded. The line to get in came out the front door and snaked around the building. I was afraid my pootsies would get cold. I probably should have got there first thing in the morning. No matter, I'll give Jack a call and see if I can arrange for a private tour. How was the comic-con, Hypestyles? Did you dress like Lt. Worf or anything?

I read in today's paper that people started getting in line on Thursday. Insane.

The comic-con was very cool. Among the guests were Canadian voice actor Paul Soles, who was the original cartoon voice of Spider-Man. Also in attendance was actor Nicholas Hammond-- he was Frederick in the Sound of Music movie, but he was also the first prime-time TV Spider-Man in the late 70s. He mentioned that the last time he was in Detroit was just over 20 years ago, he had done a play at the Fisher Theater.
Detroit natives Arvell Jones and Keith Pollard were also present: They are both semi-retired comic book artists, who were among the first African American comic artists to work for Marvel & DC starting in the 1970s. Currently, they sell reprints and original art pages of their work, and they do one-page commissions and select freelance work.

That does sound kinda cool. Several times I attended the Star Trek Conventions, back in the day when they were all the rage, and it was fun. I was never a big fan of the original series. Maybe I'll check out a comic-con.
