Maybe one day you will see that there is a difference between what you tend to do and "asking questions."
Since you researched everything all of my comments did you come across the comments that I had made about the slow pace that the Riverwalk was being developed especially since 2013. I was ridiculed for accentuating that money were probably being redirected. What had transpired this past year. Ok. My question is when did the developers realize that they weren't going to meet the December 31st deadline? Was it known during the topping off ceremony or when the last panel of glass was install on the top north side of the building? Barton Marlow may not be the blame. The city's building inspectors maybe slow coming around to give their approval to go to the next phase in the development. I don't have a dog in this fight. It doesn't effect me unless my tax dollars are being used to help fund it. True it had only taken the RenCen only 4 years to be developed and that's only the 5 towers along with setbacks that came with building it.

This is why I just laugh at conspiracy theorists. You didn't predict embezzlement, you just said money was being redirected in the most vague way. You had no idea, you gave that as the reason things were taking a long time instead of the complexity of the riverfront project near Belle Isle. And that is the rub, you are in the ballpark on one thing [[not really), and now you act like you're some Nostradamus while ignoring every other time you have said something similar on here and nothing ever came of it. Alex Jones said truthful things every once in a blue moon. It doesn't mean he's a logical thinker and not an absolute crackpot.

    @stasu/southen…

    Okay, I say this as a self-appointed honorary Detroiter…

We all want the Hudson block to be successful, but we all need to dolly back and wait til the real dust settles before making any 911 calls for now.

I didn't want to say directly that money were being embezzled especially on this site. I am not some type of prophet. I look at past patterns especially in the city of Detroit which are easy to point out. Only one remaining strip of the shell of the Hudson tower that need windows installed and then an extension of the deadline and more money is needed to complete it. What had happened to the smaller crane that was to be used for the installation of the windows for that side? I am not blaming the workers whom are working on the project. However, in the past 10 years projects in Detroit had either been canceled or taken much longer than expected to complete

The crain and buck jack were attached to the building in the area that the glass isn't instaled, it couldn't be used to install glass to areas that are blocked by other things...

    Second tenant announced...

...a law firm moving across the street.

    https://www.crainsdetroit.com/real-e...udsons-detroit

Complex looks good, but so far it's had a blah launch. Hope to see, at minimum, some companies moving downtown from the 'burbs. Ideally, some orgs opening up brand new SEMI offices in there.

    We'll see...

Well, at least they're expanding, so more jobs and income tax.

Ven Johnson - 4 more employees downtown
Gm - 4,000 less employees downtown
    Not quite balanced yet though.

Is this the same Vinnie Johnson whom played for the Detroit Pistons? I don't think that Bedrock should had allowed GM to take up so much space in the Hudson Block being that many of GM employees are working at the Warren Tech Center.

Yes but, who knows what statistics come out of this in the end. Perhaps a bunch of dwellers in the residential portion of the building will be working from home for GM. [[?)

No. It's another ambulance chasing law firm and are you kidding? Bedrock would have been thrilled if GM took the whole Block space. The fact that this little firm with 35 employees is only the 2nd tenant is proof of that.

I agree. This news is very telling about the currant state of the office market.

GM could not make good use of the RenCen after putting millions into renovations. The Winter Gardens was never fully occupied. The rest of the complex had been partially empty since around 2014. Bedrock have to reach out globally to multiple companies to have a Detroit, or North America office. Shuffling around locally independent owned companies to move in that complex just won't do

yeah, I'm pretty sure we've had this discussion before. Just like GM, Bedrock's real estate company has never thought to reach out to these global companies. Maybe it's time you give them a call.

Don't need to. It's being reported that Bedrock is seeking global companies to set up shop in the complex. They had already acquired Microsoft in the former Compuware Building. Google would had probably been a consideration but Google is rumored to be moving to Michigan Central. Bedrock is probably working on drawing national or global companies that don't compete with it's own network. I wouldn't be surprised if Tesla was to open offices there

I don't think Dan wants protests and swastikas painted on his new building which was happening at Tesla dealerships across the country yesterday.

President Musk moved his Tesler HQ from California to Texas. He is allergic to Unions, and anything to do with Democrat run environments. On the other hand, he did set up shop in Austin, which, in spite of being the state capital, is also pretty Left leaning in a Texas kind of way, of course.

But, Tesler and Detroit, whew, what can one say.

A city that smacks of Twentieth Century politics and technology. We are in the new era of rulers who know every stroke you do on your keyboard, can sniff every pair of shoes you stop to look at, and Siri will drop in on your every conversation.

Okay, so, it used to be; What is good for GM is good for America, now it's what is good for America, is good for Tesler, and SpaceX and Twitter and Neuralink. They are indistinguishable. Short of getting an implant in your brain, involuntarily, Musk has you by the balls, and in case of females, by the ballsettes.

Throw in Bezos and the other ones for a complete picture. No union representation. With so many Americans one paycheck away from disaster, the pressure points are many to affect a dire outcome, and submission seems like a given.

There is just no shortage of very obvious reasons why Tesla will not be opening any offices in the Hudson Block, Detroit or Michigan for that matter. Hell, Elon went out of his way to keep Tesla showrooms out of Michigan as long as possible. It would be a pointless discussion.

I wonder if this mean that the fence surrounding the project will be finally removed from the Woodward side

God I hope so!!! I dont care what people say, that detour of crossing woodward twice is really a pain in the ass.

They had that sidewalk area open for the draft a year ago and it was super nice.
