Former Detroiter Herb Boyd wrote a nice article in the NYDaily News about the city of Detroits past,present and future. I am a little ashamed to say that I had never heard of Boyd until I read this article.

But seriously, the article's emphasis is fine IMO as the majority of Detroit is black, so of course we have currency in advancing the city.
