^^^ Where do you derive your statistics on this [[going to INS to request asylum vs. those who are simply trying to enter illegally)? Just asking.

What's the process if you come with your family requesting asylum, and are turned down?

What do we do with those who are attempting to enter the US illegally [[whatever they are to be called - illegals, undocumented etc.)?

Again, there has to be a reasonable solution for reasonable immigration policy in United States.

Would you knowingly take your child into harms way? Why doesn't any of the blame fall on the parents that decided to put their children into this situation in the first place? Are you contributing and taking up a collection to get hotel rooms for all these people?

I have not read the whole thread and I don't plan to. I will say this - if you are in dire straights in some country - and you are poor? What are you supposed to do? Pray? I have been in one of these countries, and I will tell you, I would cross the border into this country any way that I could. It also absolutely slays me that some of my childhood friends forget that their people were once the ones coming here and didn't speak English and so on.....I don't know what the answer is, but I am fairly sure Trump doesn't have it. He just wants to keep his base ginned up and keep talking about how the "other" is coming here to take "yours", when in fact, it is Trump that is going to take "yours" through his taxes - and everything else that will help him and not me or you.

I am kinda dumb and uneducated so tell me who was president of the United States 2013 to 2016 and why would there be a 2000 drop in arrests after he took office if what the currant president is doing unprecedented.

Where was all of the outrage when not only the same thing was going on under the previous president but according to statistics at a greater extent?

Let me guess,the Russians hacked the border patrol servers and fudged the numbers in order to make Trump look good.

It would also appear that in the last year of the previous administration they started ramping up the numbers in order to make it appear that the democrats were tough on immigration,so who is useing children for an agenda and why?

Pay close attention to the last graph and the dramatic drop of when the current president took office in January,the whole 1 st year he was in office the number of monthly arrests did not even come close to what was being done before him.

Basically, you are advocating that our borders and the rule of law be ignored, and that illegal aliens who invade our country be prioritized over those who slog through the legal process.We are 4% of the world's population and cannot be a sponge for all the rotten religious and governmental problems going on in other cultures. Sometimes, those societies would be better off taking a stand against the horrible things in their own countries instead of using open U.S. borders as a pressure relief valve guaranteeing ongoing repression in their own lands.

Zacha, Good photos although most of the "children" in the video were actually teenagers. I haven't seen a recently tabulated age for the average child but, under Obama, it was 16 meaning over half of the 'children" were 16 or 17. Their parents' resume for amnesty includes breaking laws and putting their children at risk. As Honky Tonk noted, I'm cheap but I voted for higher 10th. Amendment consistent local school taxes the last three times millage initiatives were on my ballot. If too many illegals were put on my tab not including legal anchor babies, as in California, I would instead be voting for private school vouchers.

In Germany Merkel has been given two weeks to stop excepting refugees or others will handle it.

The other and much cheaper option would be to send them to Mexico City and the US embassy to apply and then they would be sleeping in the streets with no medical or meals provided.

They say they are fleeing gang violence and the risk of getting killed,so here they are a roof over their head in a safe and secure environment,medical care,more food then they have seen in months all provided free of charge.

You want to leave your country and seek asylum in this country and expect everybody else to pay for it while our own children are dying in the streets with gang violence that nobody cares about.
