Trump isn't "at fault for the Flint Water Crisis". Debbie, according to the NBC video wanted Trump to raise federal water standards so Michigan would collect more federal dollars for fixing a Michigan problem. Thats somewhere in between being at fault and being expected to do something.

Democrats tend to buy more foreign cars; technically more foreign content. That hurts Flint. If anyone wants to create more Flints, buy non-Canadian foreign cars. Then Detroit raised the price of its water it sold to Flint. Flint official then chose to switch water supplies. That resulted in muddy water. Detroit and Flint are both run by elected Democrats. This isn't a federal problem whether or not federal water standards are raised in the future.

Debbie also mentioned federal subsidies for E.V.s. so China wouldn't get ahead. She stopped short of suggesting tariffs on Chinese cars which would do the same thing while raising federal revenue instead of costing federal tax dollars. The way E.V. subsidies are set up now benefit higher income buyers. Its a tax subsidy for the rich.

Before leaving office then President Obama set up a program under the EPA that awarded $100 million to flint to fix the pipes,When current president Trump took office he made budget cuts to the EPA based on structural changes,he could have axed the $100 million but he made sure it was not.

People only want to see what they want,politicians can talk and promise all day long,it is actions that count.

Stabanow is doing what everybody else is doing,pandering to the party while hiding behind the guise of protecting Americans from themselves.
